Note that even with the knee higher than the elbow in this photo the upper body is still far too high for good aerodynamics and the overall position is still too cramped. While some riders can pedal efficiently in this position it would be much easier and more comfortable (especially when trying to run off the bike) if the angles were opened up. This graphically illustrates the need for a bike frame designed for use with aero bars (a triathlon bike with a steep seat angle).
