A position built for raw power in a draft-legal ITU racing environment. Although the position is very high and the rider's back very arched, it is mechanically efficient although aerodynamically poor, typical of positions in draft-legal racing.

A fundamental feature of this posture is that the rider favors larger gears and slower cadences. This lack of "classical" (high cadence, efficient pedaling technique) training forces the rider to ride high and forward on the bike. To improve this position much aerodynamically would not only require substantial frame and component changes, but also a fundamental re-training of the rider to pedal at higher cadences, easier gears and with the entire position rotated clockwise so the feet are farther back and the upper body is lowered.
